A trippy winter night. I ask my friend, who had been dating a girl named Joni, who I was very fascinated with, what her sign was. "Pisces", he answered, morosely, as he was still smarting from the breakup. But I was inspired, grabbed a pad and pen and had these two verses written in 10 minutes. Doug then changed the line about "meet the people she sank"--probably because whatever I'd written didn't make sense. It's a good change. What I never liked though, which he also added, was "swim, you little fish". Kinda cutesy and I really don't like cutesy.
