Enjoy this one. I wrote the music, trying to figure out Brian Wilson's "Surf's Up". I wrote a bunch of words, Matt wrote some more. I believe we sing the verses we wrote. We recorded the vocals on the same mic, in one take, while waiting for our friend to come pick us up and take us to see Tribe and O Positive at the Paradise in Boston--a show that about 15 people I've met since have claimed they were at. It was all ages. Feb-March 1990. It was entitled "Prince Hardship" by Doug, but I retitled it "Prince Makeshift"--and for once, Doug allowed his idea to be overwritten.
